Lose Weight on Vacation

I lost a good 5 lbs when I went to Hawaii. Maybe because of all the healthy food and dancing. Has anyone ever went on vacation and lost weight?

I usually come home from trips with a little less weight. When I'm at home, I always have access to food whether its at the office or at home. When I'm on vacation though, its not within reach and when I do eat, I tend to eat healthier stuff and smaller amounts.

I came back 8 pounds lighter after 3 weeks in Australia early this year.

I start school next week. I usually lose weight when I go back to school to beause I'm not home and always running from class to class.

My girl and I definitely got slimmer after all the walking we did in Argentina.

But after most trips in the USA I gain weight especially after the Las Vegas buffets. Smile

I lost quite a bit going around Scotland mainly because I ate in things like seafood restaurants. Also did when I went to Canada, but that was usually due to them not having discovered the sandwich (must introduce them to this concept one day!).

I'm vegetarian, and I usually lose a lot of weight when traveling because I often can't find anywhere that actually understands what 'vegetarian' means. I usually end up living on salad sandwiches and crisps Sad

I'll be going back to Sweden soon though, and I'm really looking forward to falafel (I thought it looked horrible and didn't try it until right at the end of my last trip, but it's actually quite nice).

When I went to Los Angeles I lived in Sizzler (eating from the salad buffet) - I still stayed the same weight there, but my traveling companions gained weight from all the steaks...
