Hi There,

I live in Adelaide and it's a great place to live, too few travellers come here, prefering to travel Melbourne to Cairns.
Anyone interested in further info I have an article This is my City on the link to my website below.

Yes Adelaide is a very nice city well worth a visit,we stayed on the coast at Glenelg, use the old trams to get into city . We had a trip for 3 days over on Kangaroo Island that was special. Driving on those sand roads with all the wildlife and no or not many people, stayed in a small place called " Ficfolia Lodge ". Lady from airport found my tripod and with only my name on it found out that I was staying close to her own house and went out of her way to bring it to me, that makes a place special to me.

Yeah the Barossa is good for any wine lovers.
Glenelg is the number 1 tourist beach.

Kangaroo Island is also very good. I hear they are building a 6-star eco-resort on Kangaroo island

Hope IF they do build the 6 star eco-resort it does not spoil what is at the moment a special place, it was like going back in time and you cannot make that atmosphere. Why not just leave Kangaroo Island as it is ????

Yes it has permission and I think they have started building it.

I've seen some images of it and it looks very good but outside my price range.
Of course all the local greenies aren't so keen even though it is supposed to be a environmentally friendly resort. .

Where are they building it? I was on KI at the end of December, and absolutely loved it. I'm anxious to go back some day to share the place.

Besides Glenelg, which is a must.

the Adelaide Cricket ground, with a guide. even those like me, who only know a little about the game had a ball. It has the oldest score board and lots of memorabilia.

Out of Adelaide, the Fleurlieu peninsula. wine and olive and gourmet food galore. Centre town is McClaren Vale.

also in this region but at the most southern end is Victor harbour. A real tourist spot, and very busy, but there is a great whale museum, a horse drawn tram which does rides all day, camels on the beach to ride, and the penguins who come back to their burrows at night, just like at Phillip island. this is also the area from which you get the best service to Kangaroo island.

If you like chuches, then adelaide is considered the city of churches.

With three really good wine regions surrounding it, there are also loads of good restaurants and beverages to try.

I go there to see my rellos, so for me, Adelaide has lots of pulling power. Very Happy

We loved Adelaide. A very good trip into the nature is Kangaroo Island. It's just south of Adelaide and really beatiful! You'll find a lot of wild life there! Amazing!
I just cutted two small videos about the island.

I love Adelaide. It is a wonderful city. Many suburbs are just like you are living somewhere in the countryside.

I always start my Aussie trips there, as I have rellies and friends in Adelaide.

My favourite place is Belair National Park http://www.parks.sa.gov.au/belair/index.htm
It is beautiful to escape from the city and spend a few hours in the nature. Lots of birds, and I saw koalas everytime I visited.

Monarto Zoo is good (african safari type zoo).

Adelaide Clipsal 500 and Tour Down Under events are really good.
