I think in summer most of the people prefer to have a rest on seaside places, beaches. But there're also people, who prefer not beaches but other places for calmness. Which of them do u prefer? _________________ Best Beach Vacations |

None of the above
I like the diversity : a walk along the beach is fine for a couple of hours, a visit to a quiet place is fine for a couple of hours, a busy city is great for a couple of hours etc..
I don`t like to be at one place the whole time; on our travels we usualy stay in one place for a two or three days and than move on again...
But that`s up to everybody on its own ofcourse |

I always used to prefer a beach holiday [up until I was around 30], but now [approaching 50] I can't think of anything worse than just lazing around on the beach or around the pool.
Great to have a hotel by the beach and with a lovely swimming pool, but it needs to be within easy access of a places of interest. An ideal place would be, say, Illetas in Mallorca. Lovely beach location but within easy reach of the city of Palma - the best of both worlds. _________________ Mallorca Holidays

The summer holidays definately have to be spent at some kind of seaside at least. Coming from Brighton, i don't like being far away from the sea. _________________ India Travel Plan |

A summer is not a summer without a beach. Moreover, it makes your health stronger and energises you for the coming dull season. So I say sea is a must. _________________ Vacation homes |

I do love a sunbathe on the beach but this summer I'm opting for a city break to Rotterdam and Amsterdam. I think somewhere like Barcelona, which has the city atmosphere but as it's on the coast you have lovely beaches as well, could be the best of both worlds. Has anyone been to (or is going to) a destination which has both beaches and a great city vibe?

I went to Amsterdam 3 weeks ago and I loved it! It is definately worth a visit! There is so much to see and do there. I do think after a few days its enough though. There is a really nice park with a lake and that is really nice. Head down there and catch some rays if you get the chance. _________________ Morocco Travel Plan - We’ll help you build your own Morocco adventure

| I go with the beach too! The sound of water slamming on the sand...the salty air around you and the whole ambiance...that's what summer is all about. |
